Flight Instruction

Our FAA certified ground and flight instructors can help guide you through the challenges and opportunities in getting your airplane pilot certificate, and can help you hone your skills through advanced and proficiency training. We're one of the largest flight schools in Illinois, and based right here in the southwest suburbs of Chicago!

Objectives

Starting Flight Instruction

Many people have an interest in learning to fly, but few take those crucial steps to actually start, and fewer still see it through to getting their Private Pilot Certificate! Getting to that level takes a commitment of time, money, and, most importantly, yourself! But we can help you through the process, as we have for so many others. And, as a "Part 61" school, we will do it on your schedule! Since we are not regimented like a university or "Part 141" school, we have the flexibility to help you be a pilot in as little or as much time as you need!

Airplane Flight Instruction

Most people begin their flight instruction with one of the airplane pilot certificates. Here, you'll find information about getting the two most common, the Sport Pilot or Private Pilot Certificate!

Advanced Flight Instruction

A Private Pilot Certificate isn't the end of your training! We offer instruction for further certificates and ratings, including Instrument, Multi-Engine, Commercial, Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) and Airline Transport Pilot (ATP), and can help you get your endorsements for tailwheel, complex, high-performance, and pressurized aircraft. And, if you need a flight review, an instrument proficiency check, or just want training in modern avionics like the Garmin G-1000, we can help you there, too!

Assistance

Flight Training There are a number of outside organizations and programs that can be of assistance to people interested in becoming a pilot. The Aircraft Owner's and Pilot's Association is a great resource, and offers a free six month membership, subscription to their AOPA Flight Training magazine and a lot of additional information at their Flight Training site.

Pilot FinanceWhile we do not provide financial assistance ourselves, there are a number of possibilities you may wish to investigate with the organizations themselves.

First, there are loans available through Pilot Finance and other companies.

Second, a number of outside organizations have scholarships and grants available, such as the Future Woman Pilot program from the Ninety-Nines, scholarships from the Women in Aviation.

The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) also has a number of scholarships available.
